This is a Giclée print, on German Etching paper, signed and numbered by the artist, Rebecca Lea Williams.

I painted these sardines last summer in on the Atlantic coastal port of Saint-Gilles which is known as the sardine capital of France. I’ve got childhood memories of eating bbq sardines and last year I kept up the tradition with my family and they were still as delicious as I had remembered. You can buy them straight off the boats, 3,000 tonnes every year, and eat them simply with a squeeze of lemon and bottle of beer!
